Jamie Campbell Bower has been casted in the new Twilight installment- New Moon.

Now that's a solid reason for me to catch the flick. Woohoo!

Sunday, March 29, 2009

Felt restless the whole of Saturday- and too much restlessness leads to a fever. I may have hit the jackpot earlier this week but unfortunately, I am actually dead broke for the time being. My only option was to keep rolling round in bed till 11am and rot in the living room couch till 5pm- when I remembered that I had to go to Suki's place to pick up the moisturisers!!

Anyway, this was what we did for Earth Hour- Impromptu swing at Aizat's! :D There were only 5 of us LOL.

Less than 30 seconds into Earth Hour and I was already bored. Like, urm, what are we gonna do now? The pizza came and we started swinging in the dark. I even attempted to lead but I felt like I was clawing for Jordan's back all the time. Note: Leads and long nails don't go well together.

Tadah.

PS, good luck with the LCC interview, Wei Han!

OMG.

Eww. Eep.

It just can't be! O_O

Saturday, March 28, 2009

At least I know I won't fall sick tomorrow.

Update on what I did during Earth Hour later.

ZZZZZ.

"Every time I make a plan, God laughs at me." -Jason Isaacs

Sigh.

So, back to the shoe issue. I called the old fart this morning to inform him that I can only pick up the prize personally on Wednesday.

Me: "..but if it is possible to send a representative instead, my da---"
OF: *interrupts* "Eh you ar.. vry what ar. why ar when I email u ar u nvr reply one ar? only when call---"
Me: "---MY DAD WILL BE PICKING UP THE PRIZE ON MY BEHALF."

:)

Like seriously, shut up already!

Anyway, dad's got it settled so I got the prize. Yay! They will be banking in the money though so I've only gotten the goodie bag. Gave the t-shirt and the wallet to my brothers while I kept the bag for my dancing shoes.

Done, dusted. May we not cross paths again, old fart.

It's a Thursday night. What does Pei Ru do?

She watches The Patriot of course. Like, duh.

I can't believe I sat through it. I was actually watching my Gabriel aka Chris Pine in Blind Date till it got a bit boring. I switched channels to find that The Patriot was playing and since it's been on repeat the past week... I convinced myself it can't be that bad. I mean, there's freaking Heath Ledger and Jason Isaacs in there.

The storyline was quite predictable. Thomas dies, Mel Gibson wants to avenge his son's death. Bing bang kaboom and Heath Ledger finds love in a girl who gets burnt to death by some guilty prick later in the movie. Enraged, he seeks revenge but got killed in an attempt to stab Lucius Malfoy who obviously, was pretending to be dead because his character can't die just yet. Fast forward to a sad Mel Gibson rejuvenated by the sight of his son's Star Spangled Banner and more bing bang kaboom, he manages to kill Lucius Malfoy! Hooray! The French arrives and Tom Wilkinson surrenders once again. The end.

9/10. A pretty good flick.

If you want something unpredictable, watch Burn After Reading.

So, about 4 more days before the end of internship.

I will be missing Chimera but I am not looking forward to returning to PJCAD just yet. Like seriously, who am I but another blessed coward primping behind the skirts of luck in there?

Sigh.

Tuesday, March 24, 2009

"Dear Pei Ru,

Since you are so busy and not even want to reply my mail, it is too late
for you to said on this matter.

Thanks,
TT"

Sore much? Your grammar gives me stitches.

So after one miss call from him and 3 failed calls from yours truly- we corresponded via emails. Alisya offered to get the prize but he needed her details. So in an apparently BIG mistake on my part, I got Alisya to email him MY details instead and whole bingbangkaboom of a mess happened which led to NO ONE being able to take the prize on my behalf and that email above.

Sha then told me to email another tyke named A who in return, told me to refer to the same TT on details regarding the competition. HUH? I felt set-up so I proceeded to get TT's number (thankfully it's not a cellphone number again) and gave him a call. As predicted, he was nagging non-stop about "you think you are the only one who's busy?! i have been trying my as--*cough*EFFORT to reach you. (haha!) Sent you so many e-mails yadi yada. I clearly stated that I needed Alisya's details but NOOO, you had to go complicate things by sending her to email me straight (which in all honest truth, i was trying to simplify things with).... your friend tried to help you but i clearly told her that i got no black and white statement from you... you think you're the only one.. bla bla...". and then put it on repeat mode.

Now, this is REALLY fishy. Sha said A requested for my bank acc number.. but TT wants me to go to the office in Puchong? I smell BIG set-up.

What was the logical thing to do then when he's holding 1.5k ransom?

Grovel. Yup.

"Oh okay it must be a mistake on my behalf then. My apologies."x10. He then emailed me the office address and said that this is the "last change" (no, seriously, last CHANGE lol) the management will offer me to collect my prize.

Lesson learned? Old men are annoying but money is still glorious.

New kits for the Spaniards. Meh. You'd think Reina would seriously rock that face paint. The rest of the Liverpool players are lookin' fine. So.. where is Iker?!

My husband is smoldering, as usual ;) Would be nice if he had a change of angle. Reminiscent of the pose he did for Liverpool's disastrous yellow kit 2 years back?

PS, I won 1500 bucks. Just like that. Thank goodness Denise got first place. It was well-deserved. I don't think I can bear seeing my work as a limited edition shoe design. My piece was a disgrace to the world of design and I am not proud of it- but I'll accept the 2nd place cash anyway. It's always good to see more digits in the bank account. Haha.

Very tired from dancing in the past 3 days. I have no idea how Sze handles all her dances @_@

Went for Saturday morning's hip hop practise on an empty stomach because I woke up late. Had a quick bite at about 2 before going out with the family. I also got my glasses but Chris has a good pic of it so I'll be posting that later. Rushed for the Sing-apore swing workshop at about 5pm. My tummy wouldn't stop grumbling all the way till 8-ish when we finally got our dinner!

The workshop was really good though. It covered quite a lot of the basics and also provided us tips on styling our moves. Too bad I can't really remember how they're done right now. I love the can-opener and the sailor kick thingy especially.

KL Swing then decided to change the social's venue to some dinner organised by the Dance Sport at Lake Club. The venue reminded me alot of the hall at the Commonwealth Club. Worn out parquet flooring and mirrors on wheels. Very nice. Sing and Chan Meng led the shim sham which we performed to the people in the hall. It's like the Melaka Line Dance event.. only much, much smaller and much more casual. Got a couple of dances with Sean, Aizat and Christian before Becks dropped me home at 12am. (Thanks again!) Gotta watch my step from now on lol. Past 12am for the rest of the month and I am dead meat.

Rolled outta bed this morning for my usual dance class with Miss B. I woke up late- AGAIN!!! She even texted me! (Panic giler k?) Picked up a donut and a bottle of 100 Plus before driving off to Kota Damansara and thank goodness I did cause I felt like tofu when we ran through the routines. I didn't manage to force myself onto the floor -which, apparently I shouldn't if I couldn't. -__-' Sigh. Very unsatisfying lah.

I then met up with Chris and May at OU. I was heading to the Curve at first till I saw the traffic jam outside. I freaked and gave them a call to find that they were at OU all along! Haiseh. Had to turn back lol. We had a late lunch at Chatterbox where we had this brilliant idea of playing Reina in midfield if Alonso is out injured and then have Cavalieri in goal instead. GENIUS KAN?!!

Riiight.

We then saw Jonno and Mark at the Digi event downstairs. Oh and nearby, there was this funny Immunoland themed event by Mamil Gold which had these hilarious bacterial costumes bouncing up and down!! Quite darn funny.. and tiring for the poor peeps in the suits.

ANYWAY, we caught Watchmen (read post below) Managed to sneak my sister into the theatre as well. Crazy girl had her eyes closed during the make-out scenes and was laughing away during the gory parts. I wonder will she get nightmares later.

Wanna tido lah. NITE.

I just caught Watchmen with Chris and May. The movie's not too bad but you'll probably find yourself drifting away into a stupor if you aren't a Marvel fanatic. I think it's almost 2.5 hours but the cast is pretty solid. Jackie Earle Haley & Patrick Wilson who've both worked together in Little Children, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Billy Crudup from Almost Famous, Carla Gugino (Bon Jovi fans would recall her role in the video Always) and surprise, surprise- Malin Akerman! I've actually watched her other movie Heartbreak Kid but I couldn't recognise her at all! Then again, she was running around with extreme sunburn on her face throughout that movie.

Oh, and just one more thing.

LIKE HOLY SHIT THAT IS FREAKING MATTHEW GOODE!!!! IN BLONDE MODE!!!!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the cast list on Wikipedia. Matthew Goode is Ozymandias. My jaw just plonked onto the table. I had to read it twice and make the confirmation that he starred in both Match Point and Brideshead Revisited!! O_O

I give the movie an 8/10. I know Zack Snyder had quite a hard time trimming the movie without losing the plot and I can see why. Fortunately, the action scenes are pretty good and the soundtrack? Awesome.

Just got back from the workshop with Sing. At least I got some other reason as to why some swing dancers keep their knees bent. Hehe ^^

Almost finished supper when mom's Psycho ring tone started playing. "I TELL YOU AR.. NEXT TIME U DON'T GO OUT AND COME BACK AFTER 11 AR!!!..." Blah. Just hung up and ran towards BV1 in the rain. Poor Aizat. Haha!

Double-standards k? Which is safer in your opinion?

a. Watching footie at a bar till 1am and then have a friend (whom she doesn't know) drop me home.
b. Go swing dancing, have supper at Devi's then drive home at 12.30am.

Apparently she opts for A. @_@ It gets really confusing sometimes LOL.

WE GOT MOTHERF*KING CHELSEA FOR THE FIFTH SUCCESSIVE SEASON?!

I tell you- someone from the manscum camp has got it in for us. I am so sick and tired and just plain bored of seeing Chelsea in the Champions League.

Villarreal v Arsenal
Manchester United v FC Porto
Liverpool v Chelsea
Barcelona v Bayern Munich

Easy picks eh?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NANDO!

Here's lots of love to Olalla, romantic weddings, the arriving baby Fernandette, tattoos in Tengwar, the dogs at the training centre, haircuts at Juan Carlos' and goals, goals, GOALS!

Thursday, March 19, 2009

So I just got back from dance practice. Before leaving, there was this conversation about swing dancing which led to a string of thoughts in my head.

I realised that I've been doing many things I'm not too good at- and heck, I must be one crazy person because I have been attempting the same damned things for years!

There's playing the piano. Well this is something I never opted for- and NEVER liked. Let's just cut a long story short and say that I was forced into this because of suspected my-daughter-can-do-this-too rivalry issues. I had NO say in this. Yamaha was a pop-star manufacturing factory which only produces a truly talented music prodigy once in blue moon. Given the chance, I'd make my kid take up ABRSM instead- at least that one gives you worldwide recognition. Like whose silly idea was it to start at Grade 13 and work all their way up to 1? Can't they count?! After more than a decade with them and 3 successive failures in passing the one exam that supposedly matters- I left. And boy was I overjoyed.

On the other hand, there are some things that I kinda enjoy doing even though I don't feel right at home doing them. It's either because I am total bull at it or the outside factors are at fault.

Dancing for example. I am not very good at it and sometimes - certain snobs make them harder. As hard as I try to remember the moves, I am still forever running in circles like a headless chicken. Even if I do remember the moves, I execute it with the least sense of grace or tenacity. But I've been dancing since Form 3 and my rate of improvement probably froze at 0.2%. Fortunately- dancing produces endorphins, lots of sweat, smiles, conversations and keeps me healthy so I DO enjoy it even though I kind of hate myself for being so bad at it. Maybe that's why I always feel for Lucas.

Why couldn't I have spent all those time playing the piano doing ART instead? Oh wait, I know. Mummy said no.

Oh well. Can't blame her anyway. I mean, no one parades their kids around with a framed work in hand right? It's much easier to be the guest who offers to play a song every time there's a piano in sight. I am not a heartless guttersnipe though- I am grateful that I didn't grow up to be a music-illiterate :)

What's at the end of the bloody string of thoughts? I have no idea. That's how my thoughts usually end anyway. I am not a very logical person after all.

“Thinner players wouldn’t have made that goal,“ asserted the Liverpool loanee. “I scored with my sexy chest.“

Nope, that's not Agger.

It's Voronin.

I am getting new glasses!

Grandpa glasses to be exact. It wasn't so much of a trend issue cause I was seriously seeking for a pair of glasses that are HUGE. I had a couple of decent-looking glasses prior to this and according to my papers- my last pair was bought in 2006 and they broke into half the same bloody year. There was one lesson I learned from my past experiences with glasses- GET THEM AS BIG AS POSSIBLE. My eyes wander around too much so the usual 3x5-ish frames will NOT do. I get extremely annoyed when the frames obstruct my vision every time I look up at my on-screen reference when i draw. Looking hideous in the new pair isn't an issue for me so I'll post some pictures when I receive them. :P

PS: They are just a tad bit smaller than the kiddo's.

PPS: Sources say that the baby Nando is a girl!

I need to drop the sulk. Call me the Big Sulk already.

I actually slept at 9pm yesterday. Woke up at 9.30 for work. Awesome stuff.. till I realised how many petty little mistakes I made in my current project. I am definitely gonna construct the existing guidelines from scratch again- for my sake... and of course, Foo's convenience. I spent too much time on it for it to screw up. The current guidelines has been spontaneously modified a couple of times which led to the many confusions. Sigh. On the way home, mum snapped at me for reasons based on preconceived notions. Left for swing social immediately after dinner to avoid the negative ions (that'd be anions?!) hovering around the house.

Swing didn't turn out well either. If I can't even get my swing outs right.. I am doomed for the upcoming dance competition in May. It'd be in Penang this time - oh gosh I remember the last time hartamas forced me into the same bus with manmohan for the damned poster competition thing. URGH.

Die laaaaaaaaaaa.

Just kidding. I am pretty sure I'll survive. Haha.

That said, I am in dire need of moral support. My confidence took two very serious blows last week. I need to talk. I am sick of typing. I NEED TO TALK TO PEOPLE I TRUST. FACE TO FACE.

Dao would be the 2nd person in UK telling me that the birds outside their window are very noisy.

So, English birds are noisy. Explain.

Nami and Ducky- watch this. It's part of your football education.

"Where's me Rafa goatee?!" "I didn't even see it! I was breaking me clock!"

It's official.

I am unhealthy, unfit and will never improve in the next couple of years.

This is so sad.

Man Utd 1-4 Liverpool

Congratulations on your 100th Premier League win, Rafa.

How on earth, you ask? Utd didn't show up. They probably saw no need to see off the game so thanks for the complacency anyway. :) I'll be honest and say that I was filled up to the brim with worry upon hearing that Alonso was left out of the team selection due to injury. To add fuel to the fire, Lucas will be filling in.

I watched the match with Sha, Carol, Derek and Chris at Breakers with the MyRAWK gang. Carol even brought along her 7-year old godbrother who wore a Man Utd cap O_O He even taunted us with some Ronaldo worshipping chants which was quite cute... in a very annoying way. Imagine the bragging rights he'd get if one day, he could say that his godsister had brought him to a bar filled with Liverpool fans and witnessed Man Utd thrashing them? Quite a mouthwatering prospect eh?

Liverpool were a bit shaky in the first 20 minutes or so and to no surprises- Utd were presented with a penalty. Carol's godbrother was definitely having a blast, along with this Cinaman with an extremely straight back and a call-girl to deliver his food. I think the Cinaman heard me when I yelled "motherf*cker, shut up already!" Usually I don't like swearing at old people but this man here... boy, the sight of his girl walking back and forth was an eye sore.

5 minutes later, our golden boy Fernando Torres equalised with a brilliant goal. Breakers erupted in deafening cheers. A mistake from Patrice Evra then gifted Stevie G with another penalty which he made no mistake in putting it past van der Sar. 2-1 at half time. Carol's godbrother had stopped taunting us with his Ronaldo-worshipping chants and so, he cried. HE FREAKING CRIED. He had to be consoled and brought outside. Poor kid. I felt sooo bad, seriously.

2nd half came and Fungusface made 3 substitutions in a go. He brought on Berbatov (currently Bulgaria's sexiest man alive and what not ewww) Giggs and Scholes. The man would be hailed a genius if his actions resulted in a win but guess what?... it failed to turn the game around and reeked of desperation. On the 77th minute, the only good looker in the Utd squad got sent off and Fabio Aurelio delivered a beautiful free kick into the goal. Heck, I didn't even know it had gone in because van der Sar was still rooted to the ground and moved not an inch. Haha!

At this point, the kid wanted to go home. -__-' He was all teary-eyed when he waved bye-bye which made me feel REALLY shiteous till he screamed "LOSERAYOU!" Well, that definitely caught me off guard. What in the name of all blasphemy is this?! I thought he called me a "loser"! In actual fact, he meant "lose ar you!" O_O Wow, that's pure Utd blood for you. Anyway, Dossena did his "thing" again and wrapped up the match with the 4th Liverpool goal in the 91st minute. Breakers was so loud I could barely hear myself screaming You'll Never Walk Alone at the top of my lungs. Ahh.. satisfaction... till the same group of shrieking bimbotic international school girls from the previous Utd vs Liv live viewing party walked in again. Seriously, we get it. You girls are hot in your skimpy outfits and prepubescent caucasian boyfriends... there's no need to yell for attention. Screw the quiz, I couldn't wait to get out. Eurgh!

PS, after some discussion with Derek, I just realised that Utd rarely attacks from the middle of the park. The wingers just cut the ball back to the center where the likes of Rooney and Tevez usually lurk. No wonder Alonso's more interesting to watch than that bloody Carrick. It's usually a pretty lethal move but our defence covered it very, very well. Good job! Nites!

大家好。歡迎來到我的新网業!

我是應為沒東西好做才決定開它的。

No people, you aren't on the wrong page. This is indeed the tapir's new blog.
