Oihhh, this sexeh pic of Orlie brings back memories. I still have those posters Anis got from the UK.

I WANT MY DEEBS!!! :'(

Bug when you get back, we shall go on a LotR marathon, reenact the narration from the fellowship with our pencils and folders AND then cap it off with a round of Harry Potter trivia game.

Believe it or not we were such big LotR freaks we memorised this whole narration!

The world has changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now lives who remember it. It began with the forging of the Great Rings. Three were given to the Elves; immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven, to the Dwarf Lords, great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of Men, who above all else desire power. For within these rings was bound the strength and the will to govern over each race. But they were all of them deceived, for a new ring was made. *sly accent* In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged in secret, a master ring, to control all others. *increase speed* And into this ring he poured all his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life. *lower tone* One ring to rule them all.

One by one, the free peoples of Middle Earth fell to the power of the Ring. *screams and yells* But there were some who resisted. *slight pause* A last alliance of men and elves marched against the armies of Mordor, and on the very slopes of Mount Doom, they fought for the freedom of Middle-Earth. Victory was near, but the power of the ring could not be undone. *pencils falling off the folder-slope* It was in this moment, when all hope had faded, that Isildur, son of the king, took up his father's sword. *STAB!!* And Sauron, enemy of the free peoples of Middle-Earth, was defeated. The Ring passed to Isildur, who had this one chance to destroy evil forever, but the hearts of men are easily corrupted. And the ring of power has a will of its own. It betrayed Isildur, to his death. And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend. Legend became myth. And for two and a half thousand years, the ring passed out of all knowledge. Until, when chance came, the ring ensnared another bearer. The ring came to the creature Gollum, who took it deep into the tunnels under the Misty Mountains, and there it consumed him. The ring gave to Gollum unnatural long life. For five hundred years it poisoned his mind; and in the gloom of Gollum's cave, it waited. Darkness crept back into the forests of the world. Rumor grew of a shadow in the East, whispers of a nameless fear, and the Ring of Power perceived. Its time had now come. It abandoned Gollum. But then something happened that the Ring did not intend. It was picked up by the most unlikely creature imaginable. A hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, of the Shire. For the time will soon come when hobbits will shape the fortunes of all...

We also attempted to learn Angerthas but in the end, we improvised it and came up with our OWN version of the language. Came in really useful during exams cause we were the only ones who knew how to decipher the characters that were written on the tables!! It's also our secret language. Hush hush! :X We also forced our friend (top man- that Ryan, for surviving through it all) to recite the prologue of the book. Geee.

We rocked our own socks I tell you!!!! HA!

Anyone tried to read Men's Health before? Some pretty hilarious stuff about how girls show their interest in men. Usually, when I pick a seat that faces the wall- it means there is some really hot dude around whom I refuse to be distracted by, and not necessarily because I actually like this certain guy seated across the table. LOL.

K anyway, Sha and I were on a cat rescue mission yesterday. I was over at her house to get some things sorted out so I chucked my bags into her room, left the door open and then headed off for the computer. She has this really bitchy cat named Pogie who apparently, LOVES to climb out of her room window which leads to the roof at the back of the house. The sneaky feline took hat very opportunity to wander off.

Well, we didn't realise it till Sha saw that the door was left ajar and heard Pogie's bell ringing from outside her window. Bloody hell we were trying to attract its attention with all sorts of plastic bags/papers/food/scarves and what did we get? -the snob face. *fumes* The cat was getting so impossible we had to rip off the dust-filled mosquito netting from the sills to keep the damned thing in sight. It took quite some time for Pogie to have the courage to jump back in through the window. STUPID STUPID CAT. GAAAH. STUPID STUPID CAT. So stubborn, as though it doesn't sense danger. Have you ever seen dogs which ignores all sorts of coo-ing from its master when stranded atop a roof? Nope.

Great. I am bitching about cats. Life has come to this huh?

"They are dead and they cannot answer for themselves, but we can and we will. Fight the lies. We answer for them, we fight for them because they cannot, because they are dead. But they are us. Liverpool. We may have been 3-0 down, but Stevie G has put in the first, Vladi has knocked in the second and Xabi is standing over the ball on the penalty spot."

Strong words from the states.

"the society in general is a society that takes, but never gives"

I am filled to the brim with favours. Goosfrabaaaaaaaah :)

It's cutie patootie Jontxu and Nagore! So cute!! ^^

HE PUSHED ME OFF THE ESCALATOR!!!

Somone kill him, please!!!

*awaits reactions from all parties* Oh well.

K anyway, Night in the Museum 2 was not too shabby. A decent 8/10 for me. :D It was pretty funny and I felt like a little kid squealing at all those artifacts in museum. The Degas ballerina, Ivan the Terrible, the Thinker, Capone etc. Gosh I really want to visit some museums right now or at least start a wiki marathon.

..and it turns out I mistook Ivan the Terrible for Vlad the Impaler. Hey one's Russian and the other's Romanian and I am some history geek from Malaysia! Can't really blame me for that right? They even look alike!

It's peeling season again cause my nose started flaking. The weather's been pretty harsh on the skin. Le sigh :(

Wow.. been quite some time since I last swing-ed!

The social was at Sid's Pub in Bangsar South. Pretty decent English sports pub and, and, and most importantly, the manager's a Liverpool fan. Ha!

Yeah I don't know where my priorities lie either -_-'

Anyway, to the bigger news!

Fye (Shasha's sis) has just given birth to baby Adriel!!! He was soo freakin' cute I tell you! Congrats!!!

My baby Demon singing.

Okay lah.

Now I am worried about Ben Barnes' next flick. *crosses fingers that Dorian Gray would be better*

It looks.. pretty bad. LOL... maybe it's just Jessica Biel.

Sunday, May 24, 2009

Well, as expected- they didn't show the game. But judging from the pictures, it was definitely a tearful goodbye for the great Sami Hyypia. 10 years. Wow. He was the first player whose name I could remember from the first Liverpool game I watched. I think it was against Sheffield United and well, who can't recognise a name like that? He was a freaking tower in the middle of the defence and that platinum blonde hair? Way too hard to miss. Well, all good things come to an end so here's lots of luck to the great Finn!

The beautiful mosaic of his name flanked by 2 Finnish flags at the Kop.

The legend being lifted by his teammates.

And urm..despite the fact that we won the game, Keane managed to score a goal against us. Pfft. Whatever.

I asked Alex another question based on something once Uncle Alex told me... only that he took it literally. (or perhaps, FIGURE-tively) Gee!

I was once told that God only gives a person a certain percentage of talent- say 40%, and the remaining 60% is achieved only through hard work and strive. My question is how did you first find out that you had a very good voice and did your trademark singing come naturally or did it take a lot of experimenting and practice.

Alex -Hey Peiru:) I've never heard this idea that God only gives you 40% talent....but I guess it does make sense. There is a huge amount of work and practice that goes in to succeeding with your art. I was very lucky and knew what I wanted to do for as long as I can remember. I've been singing since I could first start talking. My singing definitely wasn't very good when I was so young, but it got better as I got older. And once my voice changed at age 14, I really started to come into my own. I was heavily influenced by music and singers I listened to while I grew up and all I did was write songs and sing everyday. I didn't try to sound like anything or anyone, it just came naturally...so maybe that's the 40% I was given;) I didn't purposely practice or force myself, I just loved doing what I was doing...and slowly but surely people around me like my family and friends started to take notice and actually like what I was doing and supported me to the fullest. This gave me the confidence I needed, and everything since then you pretty much probably know about! Anyway, thank you for the questions and hopefully I'll make it to Kuala Lumpur one day on tour! I've only been there while stopping for gas in a plane! All the love...

Thanks Debbie!! ^^

Anyways, here's one of my favourite videos from Alex's band- The Calling.

Guess who did I have lunch with today?

Deng deng deng.

PAU!

No, like seriously. I actually met up with Pau in Hartamas. It's been quite awhile but hey, marikh blood runs deep! ^^ It was pretty fun catching up!

I then went to PJ to get my proper driver's license. The picture was badly cropped so my head looks huge on the card. Still, it's better than my previous severely-tumored face. The lady at the counter wasn't the most brilliant of employers in the facility. There were people doing some drilling outside the building but she didn't even bother raising her voice as she spoke through that thick piece of plastic divider on the counter. Rahman and Alisya can tell you that I am partially deaf to my own national language so whispering words over the sound of earth being pounded through left me as confused as a mushroom in the desert! That aside, I have to say that the service is really swift at the JPJ's office. 10/10.

Anyway after that was done, dad dropped me off at the saloon in OUG. I usually get my hair done at SunCity but I heard that they jacked up their prices so I headed to the one next door. 150 for a cut+highlights. Another 80 if I'd like a layer of base. Sounds good.

As per usual, I'd talk about how I am not fond of layers but that I would like some muted highlights and how badly I hate my bangs. My previous "stylists" would then give me a blunt cut, lowlights with the occasional mistakes and weird bangs. Pure DTPs of the design world I tell you.

This time- it was different. The stylist had opinions! OMG. SHE HAS OPINIONS. I was so impressed I just gave her the go ahead to chop off half the length of my hair, layer them, slap on some crazy highlights and dust the base. All without taking a glance at the color pallete! Unfortunately, I am not digging the fringe. She kept using the words "my idea here.." and "the purpose here.."... What revelation. I am so liking this woman already, not in a lesbian sense, mind you. She definitely thought it was time for me to drop the whole prim, proper, uptight and heavy aka 'sei ban' look. Honestly though, is it THAT scary? I did get a bit worried when she used the word "Japanese" while describing the highlights and the bangs.

No pics though. I'm waiting for my fringe to grow out of its awkward phase. LOL. I don't feel comfortable looking Japanese.

"I am sixteen going on seventeen"

I remember gobbling down spoonfuls of dinner while the scene played out in front of my eyes. My nanny was seated right next to me as we watched Sound of Music for the 134957th time. I was just waiting for the moment to come, when that song was finally applicable to me. The time came, of course- but it didn't strike me the way I foresaw it to be.

Is 'foresaw' even a proper word?

K anyway, the point iS... CRAP I AM NOW OLDER THAN THAT FRIGGIN' BENCH-SKIPPING-PRO-NAZI BOYFRIEND OF HER'S- ROLFE!!!!!

Edit: I notice that there's been quite a number of bad break-ups on the guys' front lately. Aduhai.

So I was browsing through my photobooth and guess what I found?

Look how luxuriously long and brown my hair looks in this pic. Missing you!

STUPID ILLUSTRATOR'S GIVING ME PEPTIC ULCERSSSSSS!!!

Yup it's the time of the month again.

Hoi don't laaaa MacBook you're my last resort. :'(

Edit: Screw it, Nirvana's yelling Scentless Apprentice at me and I am gonna watch Sweeney Todd- Demon Barber of Fleet Street or whatever it's actually called. I am in the mood for a good combination of human butchering, man meat pies and Jamie Campbell Bower's sweet voice singing "Buried sweetly in your yellow hair, Johanna".

Ps, Howard McGillin also covered this song once upon a time... when bushy eyebrows were still in trend. :P Fun fact yo!

I actually managed to make full use of the 2 hours' worth of class today! Adjusted the typo and whatsoever. It now says "ance abi-tat" Hahaha! Oh and Sha, assessment date's been brought forward. It's now a week earlier and I still don't understand nuts about the lllustration and Photography project. Don't they have hard-copy briefs for important subs like these? *emo cenfad*

I then spent another 7 hours in Midvalley. Caught "I Love You, Man" which starred Paul ****- as Sim would put it. :P It's Paul Rudd, remember kay? The hottie with gray eyes. Hahaha. Pretty decent flick if you're into the "dick flicks" as google search results would put it. Try googling "opposite of chick flick" and see what you get! I am serious. Still, it sounds really wrong.

Shopped around, walked around, suffered potential mild cranium damage *COUGH* and I foresee an outbreak of zits in the next two days thanks to some dirty hands. Bought quite a lot of things before I left. $_$ Need to practise abstinence. Woah. Banyak hutang belum bayar lagi k?

Well, that's it for now. Waiting on my Illustrator to function again.. whenever the new RAM arrives anyway.

Love y'all. Buh byes.

Look! It's clean.

Well, I was cleaning it last week but for some reason, it got dusty again. Was in a pretty foul mood so every speck of dust annoyed the crap out of me. Then only did I realise that my maid never really swept the room properly. It's probably been ages since she mopped the floor because I'm usually around and my room's been accessible aka no wet floors. I even paid more attention to what she was doing throughout the afternoon (which turned out to be NOTHING) so I grabbed the mop and cleaned the floor- much to her surprise. i even double-swept it. She got really worried when I started banging the doors and grumbling away as I polished the bed knobs and cleaned out the drawers. I have been quite patient with her but ever since she started showing signs of disrespect to a member of the family, I lost my cool. You have to be really mental to hide the bottle of Ribena in the detergent drawer below the sink right?

Look who's on my desk! ;)

..and because I was reminded that my face has been absent from this blog for quite some time..

Mr. Dolphin says hi!

Just a LITTLE improvement.

Seriously, I think I'll spend the rest of the week tackling the skin.

Monday, May 18, 2009

Nope it isn't Aldo. Gosh I suck at this.

..and my macbook's hanging. Great. There goes my attempt.

Ask Sha.

Seriously, the things we do in class. Zzz.

My convo with Ad. It's a birthday thing.

Friday, May 15, 2009

Alex will be heading to Brazil for a tour in early-mid June.. and possibly to Singapore after that.

Urm, how do I plan for that? June is assessment month. July is dance comp and reds' asian tour month. I can't ditch either so pray hard that it falls in between the dates.. or during our trip to Singapore itself.

OMG YEARS OF WAITING MIGHT ACTUALLY AMOUNT TO NOTHING!!!

I am gutted. Lemme mull over this. *wails*

edit: Crap I forgot theres another comp in AUGUST. Craaaap!!!!

Thursday, May 14, 2009

Oih..

Let's play a little game shall we?

Afternoon-got result slip-Passed with Distinction- just remembered- downstairs- mum- mockery- questioning- who- explain- funny- insulted- misunderstood- scrunched- paper ball.

Wanna attempt filling in the blanks, Suki?

I didn't fucking try so hard to be made fun of in the end.

Now I am a happy and relieved hobbit.

Sha picked me up- AGAIN.

Class starts at 2pm but I didn't have much to present so I decided to calm my nerves by making food. It was already 1pm. At 1.30pm, she gave me a call but I was downstairs mashing the eggs. 8 minutes later, she called again and I picked up.

"RU, IM ON THE WAY!"

-____________-' Haiyooooh!

What a difference 8 minutes make.

Guess who's playing Gellert Grindelwald?

Freakin' Jamie Campbell Bower.

I bet half of you don't even remember who Grindelwald is. Haha! He's the wizard whom Dumbledore once loved when he was young and then defeated as mentioned in the history of the wizarding world.

That boy sure knows how to pick his roles. He's got parts in both the Twilight and Harry Potter franchise. Robert who?! Still, can someone give him a starring role in a musical? Don't let that voice go to waste!

So I was watching a snippet off London Ink with my dad earlier. It featured this man who started talking about how his pal, David Beckham was raving about the quality of the tattoo artist. The man then took off his shirt and well.. he sure stands really oddly.

Two words which made no sense came into my mind: RICKY HATTON. A dead actor? Some retired footballer? A comedian? Who the hell is he?

Me: Ba, who's Ricky Hatton?

Dad: He's a boxer.

Me: I think that's Ricky Hatton lah then.

The TV then zooms into the man's rings which bore the words RICKY... and then shows a pic of him in boxing gloves.

Me: O_O Shite.

That's freaky I tell you. I didn't even know who Ricky Hatton was initially! If only moments like that happened more often during my exams. Gebus.

I am starting to feel the pain from the 2-week break. My legs were practically dead things this morning. You know how it is when you try to lift your legs effortlessly.. yet your brain's going "OMGGG GET OFF THE GROUND LAH!!!" non stop?

Sigh. I have decided to go take a swim on next Saturday just to give my muscles a good stretching out before we run through Holler on Sunday.

COMPETITION YO. 3 dates in July and August. I was thisclose to getting paired up with someone I didn't like but the final decision will still come from PJCAD's assessment schedule. That's for the first date but I think I am probably going for the next 2. Individual line and the class in street dance.

*panicks*

Guess who's got his very own baby to carry around now? Danny!

Hey I'd latch onto any reason just to post that final picture alright?

Saturday, May 9, 2009

I am dead.

Something that Adam pointed out on FB.

My tendency to place my hands on the hips just like captain of the Bridge yo.

Drove the CRV today. The brake system was pretty faulty and having my mum yell "brake!! brake!!" when I was more than 20 feet away from from the car ahead did not help either. It felt like I was maneuvering a ship because there's quite some distance between the two wing mirrors. I don't have to do complete head flicks when I drive the Swift you see. Haha. Aside from the fact that I had to come to a complete halt a couple of times near that stupid castle house, it was pretty alright. Meh. Syiok though.

PS, SHA.. WISDOM TOOTH!! OUCH!!

Aren't these gorgeous?

So many beauties get lost in the creative process.

"Ridiculously satisfying", and the "best prequel ever".- Ty Burr, Boston Globe

Star Trek pretty much kicked every action movies' asses today. Star Wars, Transformers, X-Men, Lord of the Rings... none of them can come close to this movie which was perfectly executed. The cast was made of fresh talents- none of them disappointing, the soundtrack was shamelessly filled with old school trumpets and horns, the sound effects were excellent (take a leaf outta this book, Wolverine!) and the action choreography? So sweet it'd give you cavities. It's emotional, it's physical, it's pure brilliance. This is what an action movie should be made of. Jumper is shite. Negative reviews latch onto the fact that Kirk and Spock never looked as though they were in any real peril but let's be honest- it's freaking sci-fi. They beamed bodies from one place to another. Need I say more?

Don't be fooled by the poster below, it is a colorful adventure beyond words.

12/10. Brilliant stuff. Best action/sci-fi movie I've caught in the theatres.

PS, I am so goddamn proud of Chris Pine and Anton Yelchin!!! ^^

Footie update.

Honestly, if a majority of the manscums knew how to stuff common sense into their pieholes, they would be well-respected. Here's a fan who after being told off, backs off and says that he should be happy because his team is the best but YET, needed to state out the fact to remind himself about it. Just makes you wonder doesn't it?

For the past few days I've been torn between these choices.

It's hot, should I turn on the air-con and contribute to global warming or sweat like a pig even with the fan on and waste more water taking an extra shower?

PANAAAAAAAAAAAS.

Tuesday, May 5, 2009

I just realised that my right eyebrow is shorter than the left. Must be that stupid lady who waxed off my lower eyelashes earlier in the year. Crazy bitch. Maybe I should change my hair parting.

Quite obvious wei. Missing the tips. AAAARGH.

Saturday, May 2, 2009

So there I was, having my supper while watching a live game in the living room. The game was quite boring so I started looking around and my eyes surveyed the contents in the lower compartment of the TV stand.

A couple of DVDs. Uhuh. A toad. An Aragog (yes that spider in Harry Potter) figurine. A couple of dust bunnies.

Cool.

Wait.. since when did we have a toad?

Ohhh I see.

Let's hope it's not vegetarian. We need help with the mosquitoes.

I watched The History Boys this morning.

Really, really loved it. Some of you probably knew this is the movie version of the play. I was deeply attracted to the conflicts between true admiration of the studies and the lies that pull you through the exams. Hey, I am a Malaysian taught by Pn Yong okay? It's my duty to care!

And doesn't Jamie Parker share a striking resemblance to Jérémie Rénier? Hmm. Who's that you may/may not ask? He's a Belgian actor who played a dying soldier in Atonement. You could only see half his face in that 3 minute scene and yet, he spoke the coolest French ever before died. Awesome stuff I tell you. It took a Belgian to make me like the language! Gaawd. He was also in In Bruges, this time with only 3/4 of a face (hey an improvement!) after Colin Farrell blinded him in an eye. Oh wait, I am running off topic. But anywaaaaaaaay, good movie. WATCH THE HISTORY BOYS.

I went out shopping with me mum and sis AND made it home in perfect mental state. This is probably the FIRST in my entire life! *claps*

Oh and I met Loong Hui. Damned fella should stop growing already. He's probably 6' ish! OMG. He's working part-time as a teacher. Imagine that!
