Liverpool 1-3 Chelsea
Here's my moment of the match: *screen shows Albert Riera battling Branislov Ivanovic for the ball- loses out- camera zooms into Riera once again- shows him running with his short strings hanging out*
Mum: Eh how come Riera not playing one?!
Haiyooooh.
There is no doubt that Chelsea were well-deserved winners tonight. Ashley Cole finally learned his lesson from the last encounter with Kuyt and the hunger in Ivanovic's headers?! Woah. I REALLY enjoyed watching them just now O_O No I am not being sarcastic- I am serious! Gone are the days where Drogba would be trampling over Agger to get on the end of long punts.
Liverpool started off quite well and our very own Bruno look-alike provided the team with a superb goal. Chelsea then put in a really good fight which led them to the fitting equaliser from Ivanovic. 1-1 at 45 minutes was fair enough.
Second half was definitely poop from Liverpool. The players couldn't keep hold of the ball and possession was lost too easily. The Spaniards and Carragher aside, you have to wonder what the hell was going on. A spine is NOT a spine when Lucas (bless him) was pretty much covering the midfield on his own while our captain wandered off to attack when CLEARLY, the crisis was boiling in midfield. Hey the stats states the fact! We didn't have a single shot on target in most of the second half! Hmm anyway I was waiting for a tackle or two to be thrown in to stop the third Chelsea goal but nope, none came. We can't be missing our little Monster that much can we?
This scoreline means that Liverpool will have to get AT LEAST 3-0 at Stamford Bridge. Sounds impossible but may I be foolish enough to suggest that if 45 minutes was enough to get us three goals for a glorious day in history, a full 90 can guarantee us a spot in the semi-finals. HMMMM.
Last but not least, THANK YOU, Stevie- for showing up in the final three minutes. The midfield missed you.
Gonna watch the dance video a couple more times before I sleep. I seriously have problems at dancing but there's no way I am gonna give up on this just yet. Dah lah I am doubting my own design skills, another case of uncertainty will make me feel like a squashed roach. Nites people!
