I am finally broke.

Tadah!

Fulfilled my promise of dropping by Nike Sportswear at The Curve to meet Alvin. He was busy the two times I walked past so he came over for lunch at IKEA. :D

I then caught Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It fares a 7/10 on my scale. You could have entered the theaters an hour late and you wouldn't have missed anything. The good stuff was all saturated towards the final hour of the movie and the story line started off very weakly. Since this falls under the summer blockbuster category, it's the action scenes that count. There is definitely a massive improvement in that aspect compared to the first installment of the series. This time, the scenes are all filmed in daylight. Yessssssssssss!! So you can actually see the blows being exchanged and the poor cat/tiger thingy getting scrunched to its death and shits. It's more brutal if you imagined that it was the real deal. I mean, robots being torn apart doesn't really get you excited....... or does it? LOL. That aside, you have to give it to John Turturro. He's such a comedian. I loved the scrotum and top secret, don't tell my mother joke. Definitely my favourite character. :D

Is this the king of all summer blockbuster movies for 2009? In my opinion (which only matters in this page, it's totally your call) it isn't. Star Trek was much, much, better. It had less action scenes but it struck a very good balance with its story line. Star Trek was consistently entertaining throughout the 2 hours and somehow, there was more space for emotions to be toyed around with compared to the highly action-saturated Transformers.

OOOOOOOOOOOOH AND I KNOW WHAT MY NEW WALL COLOR WILL BE!!! IKEA actually states out the wall colors they use yo! Haha!
